Etienne and Christian have a real discussion in the continuation of season 36 of the series The Mysteries of Love. This Sunday, May 18, 2025, on TMC, Fanny’s partner tries to clear up some doubts.

In the continuation of season 36 of the series The Mysteries of Love, Ingrid wanted to use a love potion and thus make Nicolas fall into her arms. However, she wanted to test it, just like Tania, with Etienne to get a glimpse of the results of this captivating potion.

While the latter made a pact with Audrey to put pressure on Hélène’s partner, Christian has a serious discussion with Etienne in the Sunday, May 18, 2025, pre-evening episode on TMC.

The Mysteries of Love: Etienne and His Desires for Elsewhere

Etienne (David Proux) finally reveals to Christian that he’s having an affair with Tania and Ingrid, before nearly losing his mind. He adds that he deeply loves Mégane (Claire Thomas), but is convinced the young woman wants his money. Fanny’s partner then points out that he should try cutting off his credit card to really get answers to his question, but he’s not sure it will work.

While Etienne claims he’s in love with Mégane, what happens next will clear up some doubts for Christian (Sébastien Roch). The two men arrive at the garage before Nicolas and Hélène (Hélène Rollès), as well as Jimmy, arrive. Etienne says this brings back memories of Joanna, who came to Christian and Fanny’s wedding a few months ago. When Christian teases him about the revelation he made a few minutes earlier, Etienne asks him a surprising question: “You’ve never wanted a real woman,” he tells his friend.

Christian asserts that Fanny (Elsa Esnoult) is a real woman, despite their age difference. Etienne supports his friend’s words by pointing out that the singer is more mature than Mégane. Christian then asks him again whether he really loves Mégane or not. Christian’s question, which sounds like an ultimatum, quickly finds an answer: “Of course I love her, otherwise I wouldn’t have stayed with her,” he repeats.

He qualifies this by saying that Tania and Ingrid are something else: “I feel very small next to them,” he says. However, he thinks he’s a toy to them. While Ingrid (Carole Dechantre) is the victim of Etienne’s terrifying obsession, Christian tells her that Nicolas (Patrick Puydebat) was jealous of Etienne, who was close to Ingrid. This revelation shocks Etienne, who doesn’t know what to say. Will this change everything?
