In the twentieth episode of season 36 of The  Mysteries of Love  , broadcast on Sunday, June 8, 2025 on TMC, Guéant ( Jean-Luc Voyeux ) is back at the police station. After being kissed by Mélodie, he ran out of the police station. Bob asks him where he was. Guéant explains that he had gone for a walk.

Then, Guéant asks to speak to Bob ( Tran-Vu Tran ) in private. In Stéphanie’s office, who is absent, Bob asks Guéant what happened with Mélodie and why he ran off. Guéant goes to explain to him and adds that right after… he will hand in his letter of resignation!

The Mysteries of Love: Guéant Disappointed, a Resignation Done?

Guéant believes he has committed a serious offense, which surprises Bob. Guéant explains that Mélodie kissed him at work and he let it happen. Bob puts things into perspective, but Guéant is very strict about the rules. Bob adds that no one knows, but in vain. The future godfather of Stéphanie’s child becomes annoyed and clarifies:  “Just because a crime has no witnesses doesn’t mean it isn’t a crime . “

Bob insists that kissing isn’t a crime, but Guéant points out that police officers are subject to strict rules of ethics and discipline in the workplace. Guéant believes that overly emotional behavior on duty can be seen as a breach of the duty of confidentiality and the exemplary nature of law enforcement. Bob emphasizes that he knows the rules, but doesn’t understand Guéant’s choice.

Stéphanie returns and gives an order to Guéant in The Mysteries of Love

Bob recalls that he is in love with Mélodie ( Mélodie Dubois ), that he has been dreaming of her for months and instead of being happy after his first kiss with her, he is completely anxious. Guéant thinks that his only solution is to resign, because as a cop he must respect the law even more than the others. Bob confides that Mélodie came to see her crying, because he ran away after her kiss. He hurt her and did not understand why he behaved like that.

Mélodie thought he was disgusted. Guéant assures him otherwise, he loved it and says it was divine. He realized at the end that he had no right to do that. Guéant wants to talk to him, but Bob tells him that Mélodie went home because she felt sick. Then, surprised, Stéphanie ( Marjorie Bourgeois ) arrives in the office. She asks Guéant and Bob to stop mothering her and decides that she can work while pregnant.

Later, after Bob leaves, Guéant confesses what happened to Stéphanie. He therefore wants to leave her by resigning. Stéphanie reassures him and takes a strong approach. She reminds him that she is a police captain and that he is under her command. Therefore, she orders him to forget his professional misconduct. Guéant agrees and therefore will not resign. Regarding Mélodie, Stéphanie advises him to send a poem and explain to her tomorrow.
