In the twentieth episode of season 36 of The Mysteries of Love, broadcast on Sunday, June 8, 2025, on TMC, Bénédicte (Laure Guibert) is shocked after seeing Prince Arnaud again before Hélène’s concert. He is a donor to the foundation, and Bénédicte, who is in a relationship with him, thought he was dead.
At first, before the concert, Laly (Laly Meignan) and Cathy (Cathy Andrieu) explain to Hélène that Bénédicte is with Prince Arnaud of Botsgornie. Hélène is surprised by his return and hopes he won’t cause trouble between Bénédicte and Jimmy. So, Bénédicte talks with Prince Arnaud. He explains what has become of him.
Prince Arnaud has become president. His confidences to Bénédicte in The Mysteries of Love
Prince Arnaud of Botsgornie (Fabrice Deville) tells Bénédicte that he is no longer a prince… but president! He won the election. Bénédicte is happy for him and feels she deserves it after all he has done for her country. She didn’t know he was a major donor to Dr. Higgins’ foundation. Arnaud explains that his father started it and he naturally took over.
Arnaud assures him that everything is going well for him, even more so since he found Bénédicte. She admits she is happy to have found him. Jimmy arrives and interrupts the conversation. He is surprised to see him. Bénédicte reveals that he is a donor to the foundation and that he is there for the gala. Arnaud finds that Jimmy (Tom Schacht) hasn’t changed and asks about watersports.
The Mysteries of Love: Bénédicte Turned Upside Down by Arnaud
Then, Arnaud has a crazy idea: he asks Jimmy and Bénédicte to set up a watersports center in Botswana. He explains that they have lakes, rivers, and an increasing number of tourists. Bénédicte declines, saying they’re very busy. Arnaud understands, but asks them to think about this idea.
Later, Bénédicte meets Hélène (Hélène Rollès) before her concert. She confides in her about Arnaud. She admits that seeing him again made a difference to her. She had a beautiful, albeit complicated, love story with him. She remembers the time she went to join him in his country, which was then in the midst of a revolution. Hélène asks her if seeing him again changes anything for Jimmy. Bénédicte admits she doesn’t know and is therefore shaken by this character’s return.
