The series “Les Mystères de l’amour” on TMC is coming to an end soon! Patrick Puydebat (who has played Nicolas since “Hélène et les garçons”) has spoken out about the cancellation…

A few weeks ago, fans of the Hélène et les Garçons saga received terrible news: Les Mystères de l’amour, the latest series in the franchise airing on TMC, is coming to an end! A real shock for those who have followed the cheerful group of friends for all these years…

“Les Mystères de l’amour” is over!
In an interview with Télé-Loisirs, Patrick Puydebat (Nicolas) spoke about the end of the series, which began in 2011. The actor, who recently appeared in Filip on TF1 and will soon be seen in Un si grand soleil on France 3, stated:

“For now, it’s all very new. My feelings are quite mixed and confused. I’m going on a six-month tour for the play ‘The Kangaroo with Suspenders’ and it would have been complicated to reconcile that with the filming of ‘The Mysteries’. And at the same time, on a personal level, I’ve been working with the same team for thirty-three years, so it’s going to be a strange feeling.”

“We’re making the most of these last moments”
The man who has played Hélène’s (Hélène Rollès) great love for over three decades continues: “When it ends, after the holidays, we’ll all understand that it’s over. For the moment, we don’t really grasp the impact of the end of all this.”

“There’s always a great atmosphere [on set], everyone’s smiling. We joke about it: ‘Enjoy it!’ is the phrase we always use on set,” says Patrick Puydebat humorously. “Indeed, we’re making the most of these last moments, so the atmosphere is very good. But nostalgia will soon start to creep in, and I think the last day will be less cheerful.”

As a reminder, even though the series Les Mystères de l’amour is coming to an end soon, creator Jean-Luc Azoulay has nevertheless revealed that he is working on a potential future sequel for a channel other than TMC! And the icing on the cake is that these adventures would take place on Love Island, the fictional island where the gang has often gone since Les Vacances de l’amour.
