In the eighth episode of season 37 of The Mysteries of Love, airing Sunday, October 12, 2025 on TMC, on Love Island, Hélène, Bénédicte, Cathy, Aurélie, and Laly return to the kitchen to help Stéphane Collaro, who has replaced a chef friend. During the service, Cathy chats with a man, which intrigues Hélène and Bénédicte (Laure Guibert).
Cathy (Cathy Andrieu) confesses to her friends that it’s Douglas, her high school sweetheart. She left him when she met Étienne (David Proux) back then. Hélène (Hélène Rollès) remembers that there was a photo of her above her bed in her room. She is surprised by the coincidence.
The Mysteries of Love: Cathy Already Invited to Dinner by Douglas
Cathy explains that Douglas invited her to dinner tonight. She replied that she was with friends, but suggests to Hélène and Bénédicte, who has recently been furious, that they go together. Douglas (Erwan Trotel) also came to Love Island on vacation. He didn’t expect to see Cathy again.
Later, after their shift, Hélène, Bénédicte, Cathy, Aurélie, and Laly are on the beach enjoying the sun. They reflect on the shift and admit that it was nice. Cathy, who had no experience as a waitress, unlike her friends, admits that she enjoyed it and confesses: “We meet some great people.”
Laly soon to be in a relationship with Douglas?
Laly (Laly Meignan) agrees and confirms to Cathy that “her Douglas is not bad.” Cathy points out that he was good in high school and claims that he’s improved even more. She seems completely charmed by him. Hélène asks what he does for a living. Cathy explains that he’s an architect and admits to being fascinated by the profession.
Aurélie (Angèle Vivier) jokes and declares that he’s married and has 12 children! But Cathy retorts that he’s divorced and his children are about the same age as Julien (Elliot Delage). Hélène encourages her to take the plunge. Cathy therefore finds herself with three suitors, since just before she left, she was lusted after by Jacques-Henri (Polo Anid) and Hector (Damien Bennetot).
The Mysteries of Love can be found every Sunday from 8 p.m. on TMC.
