On Tuesday, October 14, during a Q&A session launched on Instagram, Mélanie Gonzalez announced a big new feature for her tribe.
It’s time for a change at the Gonzalez household. Recently, Mélanie and Franck have been working on renovating another room in their house: Margot’s bedroom. And for good reason: at 17, Nino’s little sister seems to need her own personal space more than ever. Eager to meet the needs of their offspring, the participants in the reality show Large Families: Life in XXL are working hard to make the 50 m² room match the teenager’s desires as closely as possible. “I’m sore all over! Last night, we let off steam by picking up all the rubble,” Mélanie confided on October 9. Before realizing: “Margot will soon be 18. I don’t think Franck is ready, and neither am I, for the children to leave home.” But the Gonzalez family knows perfectly well that they won’t escape it. So, to delay their eldest daughter’s departure as long as possible, the lovebirds are ready to do anything… Well, especially Franck, who went so far as to consider installing a drainage system so his daughter has her own washing machine. “He’s doing everything he can to make sure they stay. He made me laugh so much! I said to him: ‘But are you planning to make her an apartment?’” Mélanie laughed.
Mélanie Gonzalez (Large Families): her eldest daughter joins the family business
To celebrate her husband’s birthday and fulfill some professional obligations, Mélanie Gonzalez treated herself to a Parisian getaway. One-on-one with her other half, the mother didn’t hesitate to reveal some of their adventures on the web: a stroll under the capital’s sun, a shopping trip, a candlelit dinner, and a concert… A well-deserved break for the parents of nine children. Between two activities, the influencer still found time to answer questions from her Instagram followers. And on October 14, one of them was interested in the family’s schedule as the All Saints’ Day holidays approach: “Are you going away?” “No, we work during the holidays,” Mélanie first declared. Before announcing a big news: “The little ones will go to the leisure center and Margot will work within the company!” A boon for the mother, who, in addition to having her eldest daughter with her, will also be able to delegate some tasks to her. “We’ll take advantage of the weekends to get together with the Smurfs,” concluded Franck’s wife.
Mélanie Gonzalez (Large Families) gives news of her cat
A big scare for the Gonzalez family. On October 13, Mélanie announced that one of her cats, Utopia, was experiencing serious health problems. After going to the vet to find out the cause, the mother was returned home… without her furball. And after two days of observation, Franck’s wife announced: “I heard from the vet: Utopia can go out!” Although relieved, Mélanie clarified that the animal’s health is still fragile: “She’s on medication, and I have an appointment on Friday for a blood test. But she’s doing better, I’m so happy!”
