The latter admits to having sacrificed himself by taking the smallest bed in the house. In an interview, he confides that he has had his two suitors in mind since the speed-dating sessions: Clémence, a bubbly 26-year-old accountant, and Marie, a 33-year-old teacher.

Marie is about to arrive. “I’ve been thinking about Mathieu a lot since the speed dating, every day. It’s been really hard for me not being able to write to him. I’ve put my thoughts and little messages in a notebook that I plan to give him when I arrive,” she says in the car.

The latter arrives first at the cottage. She then brings him some gifts, including an Easter dove and small chocolates.

She also gives him the famous notebook where she wrote her messages. Viewers then discover what the production team forbade her from writing before meeting Mathieu. Indeed, Marie makes it clear that she was forbidden to write to Mathieu during the three weeks between the speed dating session and his arrival at the farm.

“I gave you a little notebook because I really wanted to write to you during these three weeks, and then since I wasn’t allowed to, I wrote these messages in the little notebook,” she reveals.
