Maria, a former contestant on Love is in the Meadow, posted a new video on TikTok on September 4. After her split from Jean-Paul, she revealed to her followers whether she had found love again.
Maria became known to the general public thanks to her notable appearance in season 18 of L’amour est dans le pré, broadcast in the fall of 2023 on M6. Coming to seduce Jean-Paul, a 62-year-old farmer from Essonne, the suitor from the Meuse quickly captivated viewers with her outspokenness and strong character. But their story was cut short, particularly during their stay in Portugal, which turned into a settling of scores. Between repeated arguments, hurtful remarks, and Jean-Paul’s flirting with a masseuse and then a waitress, the situation quickly became explosive. Maria didn’t hesitate to call her farmer a “cad” and break up in front of the cameras: “I’m leaving you forever.” On November 6, 2023, during the review, Karine Le Marchand did not fail to remind certain candidates, including Jean-Paul, that they had “not been gentlemen.” Very active on TikTok, Maria then continued to tackle her ex, even going so far as to comment on a video by writing: “Gougeats 1, 2 and 3”, in reference to Jean-Paul and two other farmers.
Has Maria found love again?
Following this event, Maria had been much more discreet on social media, but here she is finally back. On September 4, she responded to an internet user who told her to go back to making Love is in the Meadow and this was the opportunity for her to reveal whether or not she had found love again: “Go back to making Love is in the Meadow. Well, I’d love to. But I’d love to go make love in the meadow but I’m all alone, who’s going to put their coat on the ground? I’m alone, I hope to make love in the meadow soon, we’re going to do it in the fall, it’s not going to work. I’m alone, it’s a shame, we could go there on foot, it’s just above my house, I’ll have a partner we’ll go there. And you, are you available? We could go there.” This leaves little doubt as to her romantic status.
Single since recent breakup
But while her relationship with Jean-Paul ended abruptly, Maria quickly rebuilt her life after the incident. In January 2024, in a video posted on TikTok, she revealed:“I was simply looking for love and I found it. I found love. I have everything I need. I have a pension, my own house and I am very happy about that.And now with this man, I will be much happier.” She even humorously added:“I would cook him delicious meals with lots of vegetables and a big beef rib.” An unfortunate relationship ended.
