Large Families: “We won’t be there,” surprise departure! An iconic family leaves the show

The iconic family from “Large Families” has announced they will not be participating in season 10 of “Large Families.” Let’s take a closer look!

The lucky ones? The Nguyen family! They became known to the public after participating in season 9 of the reality TV show ”  Large Families: Life in XXL ,” broadcast on TF1. Hélène and Son,  together for over twenty-five years , are raising their  twelve children  —Loan, Inès, Warren, Lyam, Willy, Jaden, Eva, Mélone, Linsé, Lorenzo, Lonie, and Noémie—in Seine-et-Marne. Their daily life revolves around school, meals, and a well-oiled system to ensure everyone has their place. In October 2025, the Nguyen family welcomed a happy event! Their daughter Noémie became a mother, making them grandparents. A new little bundle of joy that has delighted the family.

The Nguyen family are standing down at Large Families

On Monday, October 27, 2025, the Nguyen family held a Q&A session on their Instagram account, which boasts nearly 17,000 followers. During the session, Hélène and Son Nguyen addressed a burning question from their community:  would they be appearing in season 10 of ”  Large Families: Life in XXL”?  ” We won’t be there for season 10 ,” the couple announced, without elaborating on the reasons for their absence. But their fans can rest assured, this doesn’t mean the Nguyens are leaving the show altogether: ” Why  not in season 11?  We’d love to show you how our family has grown ,” they added. So, no need to panic!

A year full of changes for the Nguyen family!

This back-to-school season of 2025 hasn’t been the most restful for the Nguyen family. Between the birth of their first grandchild, whom Hélène and Son have dubbed their ” little prince ,” and their plans to move south, the family, currently living in Seine-et-Marne, is literally running around everywhere!  But that’s not all . In an episode of the  reality show “Familles Nombreuses” (Large Families)  broadcast last June, Son shared  his wish with his followers to marry the mother of his children  : ” The wedding is planned for June 2026 ,” he later announced on the family’s Instagram story. So many joyful and demanding events, which likely led to their decision not to participate in season 10 of the reality show that made them famous.
