A suffocating tension drapes the corridors of La Promesa like a heavy mist as the stakes rise higher than ever before. The calm of the estate is deceptive—beneath it churns a web of danger, betrayal, and fear. Curro finds himself caught in the eye of the storm, torn between fear and justice, while Ángela, driven by conviction, takes a step that will change everything… only to vanish without a trace.

🔥 Lorenzo tightens his grip on Curro

Lorenzo is no longer interested in hiding his contempt. Furious over his failed attempts to silence Curro, he now resorts to open threats. There’s no diplomacy in his tone, only menace. He demands Curro’s obedience—and makes it terrifyingly clear what will happen if that obedience doesn’t come soon.

Curro finds himself at a dangerous crossroads. If he keeps resisting, he risks more than his place in the household—he risks his life. But if he gives in, what kind of man does that make him? Ángela, meanwhile, urges him to act boldly. They’ve stumbled upon something explosive: direct evidence linking Lorenzo to an underground weapons smuggling operation.

Ángela is adamant—they must expose him immediately. But Curro hesitates. A hasty accusation could cost them everything. His caution clashes with her resolve.

💔 Ángela acts… and disappears

While Curro weighs consequences, Ángela makes her move. Unbeknownst to her, Pía, the head housekeeper, has influenced her thinking—urging her to believe in action over hesitation. Without consulting anyone, Ángela sets off to deliver the proof.

By the time Pía realizes what Ángela has done, it’s too late.

She rushes to warn Curro.

But Ángela is gone.

Vanished. No farewell, no message, no sign.

The alarm spreads through the estate. Curro is devastated. Guilt, panic, and fear wrestle for dominance as he realizes that Ángela might have paid the ultimate price for daring to do the right thing.

🍽 Trouble brews among the staff

Downstairs, chaos simmers in the service quarters. Cristóbal, the newly appointed steward, calls a mandatory meeting and announces a stunning decision: López will be demoted to the position of scullery worker. The announcement hits like a slap in the face—especially because López wasn’t given a chance to defend himself.

Humiliated, López begins to question whether he belongs at La Promesa at all. His spirit is broken. But Vera, ever the optimist, whispers of a different future—one where López can pursue his culinary dreams far from this estate. The idea plants a seed.

Meanwhile, Catalina, trying to mediate, pleads with Cristóbal—but he remains unyielding. Yet, in her frustration, she drops a subtle remark about the quality of food deteriorating without López… and that gives Candela an idea.

What if they can persuade the nobles that losing López is a culinary disaster?

Candela’s plan begins to take form, one rooted not in rebellion, but in diplomacy through appetite.

💼 Petra and María fear losing power

Elsewhere, Petra and María Fernández are not pleased with Cristóbal’s changes. The shift in dynamics is stripping them of authority, and they turn to Leocadia with their concerns. But Leocadia, now clearly cemented as the true power behind the service staff, is not easily swayed.

They fear her, but they also resent her. Still, neither Petra nor María dares to challenge her openly. The undercurrents of rebellion remain… silent. For now.

💔 Catalina and Adriano crack under pressure

Upstairs, the cracks in nobility are just as visible. Catalina and Adriano have another brutal argument—this time about their children and their future. The toll of Adriano’s pride and the unresolved conflict with Martina is eroding their relationship.

But even storms offer moments of clarity.

Simona, always the peacemaker, urges Martina to bury the hatchet with Catalina. Perhaps sensing the weight of everything unraveling, Martina takes the step—approaching Catalina with an apology.

😠 Ricardo’s cold ultimatum to Santos

In another part of the estate, Ricardo corners Santos. The conversation begins civilly but quickly descends into confrontation. Ricardo confesses that he resigned his position at the palace to allow Santos the chance to return—a massive sacrifice.

But Santos couldn’t care less.

Ricardo asks only one thing in return: treat Pía with respect. Santos refuses. His resentment toward the maid seems to deepen, and his contempt is barely hidden.

This conversation confirms what many feared—Santos has no intention of changing.

💬 A picnic leaves Toño in doubt

On a lighter, but no less important note, Toño confides in Manuel after his recent outing with Enora. Although the picnic went well, Toño is plagued with self-doubt. He worries that Enora is more captivated by her dreams of flying than by him.
