La Promesa avance capítulos 635–637: El ultimátum de Martina y los tejemanejes de Leocadia y Lorenzo

💣 Teaser Trigger:

Martina declares war, Rafaela’s life hangs by a thread, and Lope returns with a chilling discovery. Meanwhile, Leocadia and Lorenzo’s schemes spiral out of control, and the walls of La Promesa tremble with betrayal, blackmail, and an ultimatum that could destroy everything. 🔥

🕰️ Story Deepdive:

Martina’s Ultimatum and the Crumbling Alliance

In the aftermath of the Baron’s contempt, Martina is no longer the obedient noblewoman molded by decorum. Humiliated by the Baron’s scathing remarks about her fiancé Jacobo, whom he calls “el Sosainas”, she confronts Catalina in a storm of anger and wounded pride. The two cousins, once close, now stand on opposite ends of a dangerous divide.

Driven by desperation and a burning sense of injustice, Martina issues a chilling ultimatum: either Catalina secures her place and future within La Promesa, or she will “do something that will put the estate and everyone in it on a knife’s edge.” But before Catalina can respond, tragedy strikes. Rafaela, her infant daughter, burns with a mysterious fever—rendering family politics suddenly trivial compared to the primal terror of losing a child.

Lope’s Mission: Truth in Ashes

Meanwhile, Lope, risking life and identity, infiltrates the home of the Carril dukes in search of the infamous gold-covered notebook—the very object that could unravel the dark past of Vera’s stepfather and prove once and for all who was behind her father’s murder.

But what he finds is not salvation, but a ruin: the notebook is nearly incinerated, its pages fused together, its secrets blackened and nearly lost. Still, Lope salvages what he can and escapes back to La Promesa, only to utter a devastating phrase to Vera: “I failed.”

But buried in the soot and failure lies a terrifying truth: Lorenzo, the captain and relative of both Curro and Catalina, was spotted at the Carril estate—not as a guest, but as a collaborator. The lines between enemy and family have never been more blurred.

Manuel vs. Leocadia: Power Games in the Hangar

Elsewhere, a cold war brews between Manuel and Leocadia. The matriarch, emboldened by her financial power, dares to interrogate Enora, the new mechanic—overstepping her authority in Manuel’s eyes. When he confronts her, what ensues is more than a corporate disagreement; it’s a power duel where each word slices like a blade.

“You have no right to question my hires,” Manuel declares, icily. Leocadia counters with a thinly veiled threat: “Without my capital, your dreams crash.” It’s clear—their alliance is cracking, and Enora is the fault line. But Enora, strong and calculating, isn’t one to sit idle. In a stunning twist, she reveals knowledge of a long-buried pact between the Luján family and her own—one that could unravel their reputation if exposed. She offers silence, in exchange for safety.

Terror Below: Ballesteros’ Tyranny and Petra’s Rebellion

While upstairs teems with noble conflicts, Ballesteros, the new head butler, has turned the service quarters into a prison. His authoritarian rule demotes Ricardo, isolates Petra from her confidant Rómulo, and punishes innocent mistakes with draconian severity. Petra, normally the enforcer of discipline, begins to secretly defy him, protecting a terrified maid named María Fernández from unjust punishment. In her rebellion, we glimpse the spark of an uprising from below.

Meanwhile, Ricardo catches Santos, Petra’s nephew, stealing and drinking from the Marqués’ private reserves. When confronted, Santos mocks Ricardo’s lost authority. Now, Ricardo must choose—report the incident to Ballesteros and risk being ignored, or protect the house in silence and lose his own moral compass.

Lorenzo and Leocadia: A Dangerous Partnership

In their luxurious chambers, Leocadia and Lorenzo scheme to forcibly send Ángela, Leocadia’s disgraced daughter, to a Swiss boarding school to avoid further scandal. But Ángela resists with a steeliness neither expected. “I haven’t done anything wrong. My home is here.” Her defiance infuriates them, especially Lorenzo, who lashes out—fearing that every moment Ángela stays in La Promesa, her shame poisons their social standing.

It’s a plan born of panic and reputation management, but Ángela’s stubborn dignity proves stronger than the pair’s manipulations. As she exits the room, Leocadia is left with a growing sense of dread: she can buy gifts and prestige, but she cannot buy redemption.

Rafaela’s Life in the Balance

Back in Catalina’s room, Rafaela’s condition worsens. Burning with fever and convulsing with spasms, her fragile body sends the entire house into panic. No doctor is available. Time runs out. In a moment of raw resolve, Alonso grabs the keys to the extravagant Hispano-Suiza gifted by Leocadia and speeds into the night to fetch a doctor—whatever it takes.

The once-composed marquis has become a desperate grandfather racing against death. His actions shatter protocol. The child must live.

A Return, a Revelation, a War Ahead

Just as the estate reels from the chaos, Lope returns. Dirty, exhausted, reeking of smoke, he places the charred notebook on the kitchen table. Around him, the staff gathers, breath held. “The notebook is damaged beyond use,” he says. But then adds, gravely, “I saw Lorenzo. At the Carril estate. They’re working together.”

With that, a new terror dawns. The enemy is no longer a distant nobleman. He wears the same uniform, speaks the same language, and sits at the same table. La Promesa is compromised from within.

In these three chapters, betrayals erupt, secrets resurface, and alliances dissolve. From Martina’s ultimatum, Lope’s near-fatal quest, to Rafaela’s life-or-death crisis, La Promesa no longer whispers of scandal—it screams it from every corridor.

The war for truth, dignity, and survival has begun. And the stakes have never been higher.
