Tomorrow Belongs to Us is temporarily parting ways with one of its iconic characters. This Wednesday, October 8, 2025, François Lehaut left the TF1 soap opera after making a radical decision, leading to the de facto departure of its actor, Emmanuel Moire.
It must be said that Soizic’s (Charlie Nune) trial was trying for François. After staying by her side for several weeks, until the young woman was cleared, he learned that she had cheated on him, and with his best friend. The couple tried to patch things up for a while, especially for their son, Adam.
François is going to walk the Camino de Santiago
But François can no longer pretend. So he makes a radical decision: he’s going to walk the Camino de Santiago for several months to clear his head. Soizic, who is slowly returning to a normal life, is shocked when she learns this. Before leaving Sète, her ex-partner promises that he’ll come back, but for the divorce.
The production of the daily series has nevertheless confirmed that this departure does not signal the definitive end of the character of François. Speaking to Télé-Loisirs, they assured that this spiritual interlude was temporary and that Emmanuel Moire would return to the set of Tomorrow Belongs to Us in a few months. François will then return calmer, more confident and ready to open up to new things.
In the meantime, Emmanuel Moire will be very busy. The actor will reprise his role as Louis XIV for the new tour of The Sun King. Produced by Dove Attia, the cult show returns in November to mark its twentieth anniversary. Kamel Ouali is the choreographer.
“I’m lucky and fulfilled”
“I had to adjust my schedule for the next few months, but everything is going well. I’m lucky and fulfilled,” the artist confided in December 2024 in an interview with Le Parisien. He also added that he now sees things differently.
“I’ve acquired twenty years of experience. And I know that, now, I’m going to enjoy it much more. At the time, I was so young that I didn’t allow myself the pleasure of expressing myself in total freedom,” he said.
