Eléonore confesses the truth to Gaspard
At the farm, Gaspard learns that Alice has finally obtained permission to organize her festival and that his mother will help him manage the events and communications. The young man immediately becomes suspicious of his mother again. However, she promises him that she has nothing up her sleeve.
At the Institute, Marc and Alice explain to Clotilde the schedule of the festival, which begins on Friday. While Chef Wiesberg had hoped to be able to choose her brigade, Marc suggests instead that the Second and Third Years take tests to select the best students. Clotilde agrees.
In the park, Maya suggests that Gaspard take the tests with her, but he declines. Shocked by his response, Coline questions him. Gaspard explains that he wants to stay as far away from his mother as possible, in case she plans another scam.
At the Workshop, Maya meets Léonard to take the tests. Malik has also come to try his luck. About twenty minutes into the test, Gaspard arrives and obtains permission to take the test. At the end of the test, Alice and Marc select Maya, Léonard, and Gaspard to form the brigade.
In the park, Alice introduces Eléonore to the members of her brigade, emphasizing that the profits from the festival will be donated to the ANSA association, which works with people with autism. This immediately raises Gaspard’s suspicions.
Back at the farm, he doesn’t hesitate to search his mother’s computer. Coline, who is uneasy, witnesses this. He finds an email in which she pretends to be a member of the association in order to open a bank account. Gaspard confronts his mother, who confesses that she’s doing all this to pay for Malo’s schooling. In fact, she hasn’t been able to pay her school fees for months. She has 10 days to do so, or they’ll kick her out…
Joséphine Gets Revenge on Ferdinand
In the park, Gary hangs out with Joséphine. They talk about their blind test party the night before with other First Years. This arouses Ferdinand’s jealousy, as he would like to be included in the class. But Joséphine retorts that everyone is angry with him for the hazing he gave César.
In class, Ferdinand can’t stand Gary and Joséphine’s complicity. They take advantage of their backs being turned to sabotage their meal.
After class, Gary, Joséphine, César, and Loup have lunch together. The young girl is convinced that Ferdinand is behind the sabotage of her meal. While chatting, César tries to log into the Institute’s app launched by Gaëtan, but he has the impression there’s a bug. Loup notices that he’s found a flaw that allows him to send messages anonymously.
An anonymous video is posted: it shows a goat with Ferdinand’s head embedded in it ramming into a car. Bianca shows it to Ferdinand, who finds it childish. He suspects Gary of being behind the video, but the latter points out that he has several enemies at the Institute.
Carla wants to bear the name Armand
In the kitchen, Rose brings the ingredients needed for the recipe Clotilde and Carla are working on. The latter asks them why they don’t have the same name. Rose explains that her relationship with her father was complicated and that she preferred to use her mother’s name, which became her author name. But Rose reveals that she intends to add the name Armand to her identity card.
Later, Carla confesses to Bérénice and Zoé that she wants to change her last name, adding Armand to her adoptive parents’ last name, Furiani. She plans to talk to Rose about it and hopes she’ll see some meaning in it. She arranges to meet her at the shared apartment in the marshes to discuss it. Rose is deeply touched by her decision.
When she gets home, Rose talks to Marc about it. He fears that Carla’s decision will upset her adoptive parents. Rose thinks they’ll take it well, but she realizes it’s best to warn them.
