Friday, October 10th in Here It All Begins…
At the farm, Gaspard and Coline confide in Maya about Eléonore’s lies. The young man now intends to return the cash register to the Institute, hoping no one will ask too many questions.
As he prepares to go to the Institute, he runs into his mother, who insists on speaking to him. But Gaspard orders her to leave and never come near him or her brother again. The tension rises, frightening Malo, who witnessed the scene. In the midst of a fit, he runs off.
Meanwhile, Clotilde and Alice are still wondering about the anonymous message they received the day before denouncing Malik. Marc takes the opportunity to openly discuss his doubts about Eléonore, offering all the evidence he’s found while researching her.
At the farm, Gaspard, Eléonore, and Coline search everywhere for Malo, but he’s nowhere to be found. Coline thinks he might have taken refuge at the Institute. Gaspard rushes there and sends an alert message to the school group. Shortly after seeing the message, Malik finds Malo crouching near a flowerbed. The young boy doesn’t want him to tell Gaspard because he’s angry with him. However, Malik encourages him to clear things up with his older brother.
Upon arriving at the Institute, Gaspard finds Maya, who promises to help him look for his brother. But they don’t have time, as Malik brings Malo back safe and sound. Gaspard immediately sends a message to his mother to let her know. She tells him to take good care of himself because she intends to report herself to Chief Armand.
While Gaspard thinks it’s only fair, Malo emphasizes that he can’t bear to lose her. He admits that he knows about the illegal things she’s done, but he’s ready to forgive her because he really needs her every day.
Touched, Gaspard bursts into the principal’s office just as his mother was about to confess. Facing Marc and Clotilde, the young man declares that he was the one who stole the cash register. As proof, he returns it to them along with all his money…
Carla Feels Lonely
After cooking together for hours the day before, Marc, Rose, and Jim decide to repeat the experience by filming it for the Institute.
At the marshes, Carla expresses her jealousy of Joséphine because she feels like Bérénice spends all her time with her. Her girlfriend reassures her. Carla then confides in her that she feels like she’s gained weight around her hips and thighs. Bérénice emphasizes that it’s just a figment of her imagination.
Later, Bérénice works with Joséphine at her sister’s house. Joséphine comes to give her their grandmother’s ring. Bérénice is delighted. She plans to organize a picnic in the Teyssier garden to propose to Carla and give her this family heirloom as an engagement ring. At that moment, her girlfriend calls her. But Bérénice decides not to respond in order to focus on organizing her request.
Meanwhile, Carla is at the shared apartment in the marshes. She watches the video that Marc, Rose, and Jim posted on the Institute’s app. Shortly after, Anaïs and Gaëtan come home from shopping and find her on the couch with tears in her eyes. Carla admits to being disgusted by their portrayal of the perfect family. Anaïs suggests they do a yoga session with her the next day to relax. Once alone in the room, Carla starts to cry and consoles herself by eating several cakes in a row.
The competition between Tom and Julia begins.
At the Workshop, Enzo announces to the Master’s students that the chef for the Master’s restaurant will be selected the next day. He therefore wants to know which students are already ready to pitch their project. Tom volunteers with his medieval project. He thinks he’s the only one, but Julia declares that she’s also ready to present her concept.
Tom questions Julia about her concept. She explains that she’s working on a blend of French and Mexican cuisine with a friendly atmosphere. Tom finds it too similar to his own concept, which also emphasizes conviviality.
Later, Julia asks Billie to watch her broth while she goes to the Commissary. Tom takes the opportunity to spy on her worktop and taste her broth. He realizes it’s very good, which Billie confirms after tasting it as well. Tom realizes he has serious competition.
