Coming soon in Here It All Begins on TF1, Gaspard (Maxym Anciaux) doesn’t want to run into his mother, Éléonore, as she prepares to leave the farm. She confides in Coline (Talina Boyaci) and recalls her past: the father of her children left when he learned that Malo was autistic. With no money, she began embezzling donations and defrauding businesses.
Gaspard was involved in her schemes, but stopped the day he discovered she had used Malo to win money for a fake autism fundraiser. But Éléonore (Armelle Deutsch) insists she has changed and acknowledges her mistakes. Before leaving, Eleanor decides to write a letter to her son and goes to the Institute to give it to him.
Gaspard Gives His Mother a Second Chance in Here It All Begins
Gaspard is deep in discussion with Maya (Alexandra Favalli), who advises him to give his mother a second chance. Maya encourages her boyfriend to read the letter. Then, Éléonore receives a call from the principal of Malo’s school. She begs her not to kick her son out because of his money worries. She has ten days to find a solution. Gaspard arrives shortly after.
Éléonore assures him that she has stopped her schemes and is going to take the teacher exam. Gaspard decides to give her a second chance and wants to enjoy spending time with his mother. Meanwhile, Alice (Noémie Zeitoun) tries to convince Clotilde (Elsa Lunghini) to organize a flavor festival. Éléonore, who helped with the presentation, arrives and introduces herself.
Éléonore offers to manage the festival’s communications, as she specializes in events. Marc Leroy must approve Alice’s dessert proposals, and the proceeds from this festival will go to an autism charity. Clotilde approves the idea. Back at the farm, Éléonore pretends to be the charity’s treasurer to open a bank account…

Three days later, Éléonore continues working on her fake papers to open the account, but closes her computer when she sees Gaspard. Then, the young man discovers that his mother will be helping Alice with the events and communications side of the festival. She assures her son that she’s changed.
Meanwhile, Alice must form a team for her festival, which begins Friday. A selection process is about to take place, but Gaspard refuses to show up, unlike Maya. The young man confesses to Coline that he fears his mother is planning another scam. But he eventually changes his mind and takes the selection exam. He has to sit next to Malik (Oscar Al Hafiane), and tensions are high between the two men.

After tasting everyone’s desserts, Alice and Marc (Stéphane Blancafort) choose Léonard (Thomas Vilan), Maya, and… Gaspard! Malik is right behind and not among the selected candidates. After this humiliation, he leaves. Gaspard learns that the festival will last three days and that the profits will go to a charity, which worries him. So, with Coline’s help, he decides to search his mother’s computer!
Gaspard discovers an email from the bank asking him to open an account in the charity’s name. Éléonore arrives at the same time, and Gaspard confronts his mother. The truth then comes out for the young man. His mother reveals that she intends to embezzle the money to pay for Malo’s schooling. If she doesn’t manage to do so within ten days, Malo will be expelled from high school. Gaspard is shocked.
