Télé-Loisirs interviewed Charlie Nune, whose character Soizic is about to experience a pivotal week on Tomorrow Belongs to Us with the start of her murder trial. This was an opportunity for the actress to reveal what she’s been up to during her long hiatus from the TF1 soap opera.

Remember: at the beginning of July, Soizic was sent to prison , accused of having killed Martial (Angelo Pattacini), her lover, and best friend of her partner, François (Emmanuel Moire) . Télé-Loisirs: What did you do during this long break?
Charlie Nune : I enjoyed my children, my loved ones, my friends, and my home! I found a social life that I had lost for quite some time. And honestly, it felt good! I didn’t really go away, but I took the time. Plus, I was lucky because this break fell during the summer!

What is Soizic’s state of mind at the start of this trial?
She is desperate. She is convinced that she has killed Martial . She is sure that she will spend a good part of her life in prison, that she will never be able to practice her profession again, that she has lost François or that in any case, it will be extremely complicated to get him back. At that moment, she gives up. For her, her life is over.

Soizic will be represented by Raphaëlle and Soraya. What tactics will her lawyers use to defend her?
They will argue involuntary manslaughter. Several versions of the incident will be raised, but ultimately, it is undeniable that it was absolutely not intentional. They opt for this strategy so that she gets a lesser sentence. But in the interviews with Soraya and Raphaëlle, they make it clear that, in any case, she will remain in prison for a long time.

You sometimes come across very derogatory comments on social media…
I’m past the age when it affects me. I’m 45, I’m happy in my body and in my head. I’m more worried about my children. I don’t want it to affect them. When I receive insults on Instagram, it makes me die laughing. I even made an album of them that I read to my friends! It’s crazy what I’ve taken in the face. I’m “old” , “ugly” . One of the most beautiful is: “Luckily she’s disappearing, that way we won’t see her wrinkles anymore.” It’s cowardly to hide behind a screen to write that. I’m tired of hearing physical criticism about women.
