Télé-Loisirs interviewed Romane Parc, whose irritating yet endearing character, Lilou, makes her final appearance in Tomorrow Belongs to Us this Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The actress explained the reasons for her departure from the TF1 soap opera.
This Tuesday, September 23, 2025, a little over a month after Malik Zidi’s departure, it’s another character that fans sometimes hated but who, more often than not, entertained and also touched them. In the new episode of Tomorrow Belongs to Us broadcast today on TF1, Lilou leaves Sète to settle with her mother in Switzerland. Télé-Loisirs took the opportunity to interview her interpreter, Romane Parc, who explained why she decided to leave DNA and if there was a possibility that she would one day return to the Sète sun. An interview full of sincerity and freshness!
Tomorrow belongs to us: “I decided to leave”, Romane Parc (Lilou) explains why she chose to leave the TF1 soap opera!
Télé-Loisirs: Lilou is leaving Sète this Tuesday, September 23. Was it your decision to leave Tomorrow Belongs to Us?
Romane Parc: Yes. I decided to leave. From the start, it was, in a way, agreed upon with the writers. That’s why they didn’t really bring Lilou any family and she wasn’t really attached to any other characters. I wanted to remain free and be able to pursue other projects. My departure was planned well in advance. We wanted Lilou to finish high school. Higher education seemed like the right time for her to leave.
Why exactly did you make this decision?
As an actress, what I love is being able to do, play lots of different roles, be everywhere, and above all not lock myself into a routine. The daily grind is an incredible opportunity. I filmed a lot during those two years. It was fantastic. I didn’t leave because I didn’t like it, quite the opposite. But I want to experiment with other forms, perhaps return to theater. I didn’t want to stay in the same thing for too long, but I really loved filming Tomorrow Belongs to Us. It was a great experience.
How did you feel at the moment of the final “Cut!” just after your last scene?
My last sequence shot also included Lilou’s very last scene, so it had a special dimension. It was really my last scene in the series. All day long, I was dreading this moment a little. I was just trying to concentrate and make sure that the scene was still joyful, that it showed our complicity. I knew that Salomé [Benitha, editor’s note], who plays Violette, was with me during this last day. She was filming with me. I know her by heart, she’s my best friend now, and I felt that she was a little nervous too. We were a little dreading the end of filming. When the moment came, I just felt incredibly grateful. I realized how lucky I was to be able to have this experience, to be able to film so much with this team, that it was my life, every day. There was inevitably some sadness because I loved it. DNA was my daily rhythm every week. It was my life. So it’s a big change. It’s also a little scary to suddenly stop filming. So there was this mixture of sadness, gratitude, and at the same time, excitement for what’s next. I know I’ll always have a connection to Tomorrow Belongs to Us. Everyone who’s been on this show has a connection to it.
Tomorrow Belongs to Us: Lilou leaves Sète this Tuesday, September 23, 2025! Will she return? Actress Romane Parc answers our questions
Have you kept in touch with some of your DNA classmates?
Yes, of course! We all get along really well. When my agent told me I’d been cast in the series, she said, “You’ll see, this shoot is really like summer camp.” It really is. It’s a big Tomorrow Belongs to Us family. I’m not going to lose touch. I’m very close to the young people, whether it’s Salomé Benitha, Nicolas Jacquens [who plays Bastien, editor’s note], with whom I’ve worked a lot, or Dimitri Fouque [who plays Jack, editor’s note]. I know we’ll see each other again. I’m not worried about the future at all.

Which Lilou storyline had the biggest impact on you?
The one that had the biggest impact on me to film and watch, and yet it’s not the one in which I’m the most important, is the storyline about the serial rapist in Sète, during which Lilou is attacked. It was hard and at the same time I found it very beautiful. The ending was very beautiful. And it was different from other endings. It really put the women, the victims, back at the center. There was a really cool artistic twist. And, above all, a really important subject. This storyline really had a big impact on me.
