Olivier Colas spent several weeks in a rehabilitation center

Olivier Colas was suffering from a bacterial infection caused by Streptococcus mitis.
The past few months have been particularly difficult for the Colas family. After being hospitalized for severe back pain, Olivier Colas learned he had infectious spondylodiscitis, caused by Streptococcus mitis. “It’s when a bacterium invades your bloodstream. This one is called Streptococcus mitis. The bacterium attached itself to the spinal column ,” his wife explained.
