Another unfortunate incident that Camille Santoro could have done without. The mother, who rose to fame on the TF1 show ” Familles nombreuses” (Large Families) , recounted to her followers the misadventure she experienced in the middle of the night on Friday, November 14th, while she was alone at home.
Camille Santoro’s life isn’t always smooth sailing. As she recently shared during an Instagram Live, the single mother has to deal with many everyday hassles, especially as a single parent. Most recently, her daughter Emie’s entry into middle school caused her some worry. This past Saturday, November 15th, she explained in a story to her community of over 875,000 followers that she felt like she was incredibly unlucky. And for good reason: the day before, while home alone, she experienced a minor mishap. Very close to her followers, she didn’t hesitate to recount this latest mishap in detail.
“I was at my wit’s end” : Camille Santoro (Large Families) victim of a flood in her home
While she was hoping for a quiet Friday evening, Camille Santoro experienced a completely different scenario! Separated from her ex-husband Nicolas Santoro since 2023, and even though she recently admitted to finding love again, the mother, known for her appearance on the show ” Familles nombreuses : la vie en XXL” (Large Families: Life in XXL ), has chosen to live in her own house. Every other week, she is home alone while her six children are with their father. This Friday, November 14th, she was therefore without the children and wanted to relax with a nice bath. But, as she recounted in a series of Instagram stories posted on Saturday, November 15th, things didn’t go as planned. “All week, I went to bed around 10 or 11 p.m., because that’s when I finished my day and I was exhausted. I thought to myself, ‘Okay, Camille, run yourself a bath, you’ve earned it,’ ” she begins, setting the scene. “I ran my bath, went to make dinner, I still had a couple of things to do around the house. I came back to my room… and it was flooded,” she recounts, emphasizing the last word. “That’s when I got the fright of my life, because I have hardwood floors in my bedroom and the water had even reached my closet. I was at my wit’s end,” she confides, still in shock. In reality, she explains, she hadn’t realized that instead of turning on the bathtub faucet, she had turned on the shower. “Water flooded the entire room. I can tell you, having to mop it up at 11 p.m.… I thought to myself, ‘This day is never going to end.’” A real nightmare she could have done without! Fortunately, the evening wasn’t completely ruined: before this incident, Camille confided that she had spent a pleasant time in very good company.
