Clotilde refuses to do business with the Jourdains
In the kitchen, Clotilde gathers Léonard and Zoé to discuss developing the menu for the training hotel. Teyssier interrupts them. He has another idea: they should offer a buffet during lunch service at the Double A. Aside, he confides to Clotilde that the hotel owners aren’t yet convinced about the sale and that this is therefore a charm offensive. Chef Armand, Léonard, and Zoé then get to work.
Meanwhile, Teyssier asks Ismaël to join Bianca’s lunchtime team. He also asks the young man to invite his mother to lunch. Ismaël complies, even though he dislikes mixing his personal and professional life. Seeing her husband’s actions, Constance admits she doesn’t agree with his methods.
Despite everything, Teyssier welcomes Jeanne to the Double A and invites her to stay for lunch. He explains that he no longer wants to buy the hotel and instead proposes combining their two establishments. This would notably bring them more customers. Jeanne points out that she isn’t the only one making the decision and that she will have to think it over. While passing through the dining room, Clotilde sees Teyssier with Jeanne. She is deeply moved.
After the service, Clotilde explains to Teyssier and Rose that Léon Jourdain, Jeanne’s father, was a friend of Auguste Armand. She recounts that Auguste had wanted to open a training hotel shortly after the school opened. He had found the perfect location and told Léon about it, who then bought the hotel behind his back. Afterward, Auguste was disgusted and abandoned the idea of creating a training hotel. Clotilde then asks Teyssier to find another location, which he pretends to agree to.
Behind Clotilde’s back, Teyssier goes to the Hôtel Jourdain where Jeanne tells him she accepts his partnership proposal. She adds, however, that he will have to convince her brother Hector, as they jointly own two-thirds of the hotel. Teyssier agrees to meet him the very next day…
Julia comes to Tom’s aid
Tom and Julia explain to Enzo that they are incompatible and cannot work together. Tom even wants to run the restaurant without a sous-chef. Enzo agrees, on the condition that he makes no mistakes during his first service.
Later, Julia overhears a conversation between Solal and Enzo about Tom. Enzo declares that he is ready to fire him from the Master if he ever fails in his service.
During service, Julia goes to retrieve her knives. She notices that Tom’s team is overwhelmed and offers to help them. Tom eventually agrees.
At the end of their shift, Tom thanks Julia for her help. Enzo congratulates them on the positive feedback they received from the customers. Solal then realizes that Enzo deliberately let Julia overhear them earlier.
Fleur drops the mask
In class, Fleur assures Josephine that she reacted impulsively the day before, but that she’s moved on and everything is fine. At the end of class, Alice grades the students on their lightning bolts: Fleur and César get 8/20 while Loup and Josephine get 18/20. Seeing her classmates still so close, Fleur bursts into tears and abruptly leaves the class.
Josephine finds her outside. Fleur confesses that it’s too difficult for her to see her with Loup. She therefore decides to distance herself from them. The young woman then joins Lionel and confides in him about the situation.
