Last October, the cancellation of the series “Les Mystères de l’Amour,” broadcast on TMC, was announced. After fourteen years on the air, the channel decided to end its collaboration with the JLA group, which produces the series in the “Hélène et les Garçons” universe. The series will continue to air until the end of 2025, and then it will be time to say goodbye to Hélène, Nicolas, Cricri d’Amour, and the others.
“I have been working with the same team for thirty-three years”
After Elsa Esnoult, who plays the character of Fanny, it is now Patrick Puydebat, the ever-present Nicolas of the soap opera, who spoke to Télé-Loisirs about this unexpected end.

And like the rest of the cast, the show’s veteran actor seems to still be reeling from the announcement: “For now, it’s all very fresh, my feelings are quite mixed and confused. I’m going on a six-month tour for the play ‘Le kangourou à bretelles’ and it would have been complicated to reconcile that with filming ‘Les Mystères’. And at the same time, on a personal level, I’ve been working with the same team for thirty-three years, so it’s going to be a strange feeling.”
Patrick Puydebat bounces back in “Un si grand soleil.”
While the teams don’t seem to have fully grasped what’s happening to them yet, Patrick Puydebat, who will soon be joining the cast of “Un si grand soleil” on France 3, is already looking ahead to the end of December and the show’s cancellation. That will be a whole different ball game, and emotions are likely to run high for everyone: “When it all stops, after the holidays, we’ll all understand that it’s really over. Right now, we’re not quite sure how much this will all end.”

For the moment, production continues filming episodes to fill the schedule until the end of December, but the atmosphere on set is naturally different than usual. Everyone is enjoying these last few weeks together, as the actor recently told our colleagues at Télé-Loisirs: “Despite everything, there’s a great atmosphere, everyone’s smiling. We joke about it: ‘Enjoy it!’ That’s the phrase we keep saying on set. We’re making the most of these last moments, so the atmosphere is pretty good. But nostalgia will soon start to creep in, and I think the last day will be less cheerful than usual.”
