Thursday, November 6th in Here It All Begins…

Clotilde allies herself with Andréa Jourdain

After calling for help the day before, Clotilde secretly meets with Andréa Jourdain, whom she seems to already know. Regarding the proposed partnership between the hotel and the Institute, Andréa points out that her children can proceed without her approval, but she is determined to prevent it by sowing discord.

At the Institute, Clotilde apologizes to Teyssier and Rose for her reaction the previous day, then pretends to be in complete agreement with the partnership project. She only sets one non-negotiable condition: that the hotel be called the Hotel Armand.

Meanwhile, Andréa takes advantage of a visit from Ismaël and Bianca to gather information about Teyssier and ask their opinion on the partnership project. Ismaël admits he’s rather in favor of it. Andréa pretends to listen, while mentioning that she’s very attached to everything she built with her late husband.

Later, Clotilde pretends to bring new technical sheets to Bianca in the kitchen and deliberately leaves a trademark application for the hotel’s name, Armand, there. Bianca immediately shows the document to Ismaël, who decides to tell his mother.

Accompanied by her brother, Jeanne bursts into Teyssier’s office to confront him about the matter, declaring that changing the name of their hotel is out of the question. To assure them of his good faith, Teyssier takes the document and tears it up. He proposes a more concrete approach by supporting Hector with a brigade of four students. Since he refuses to act as a teacher, Teyssier suggests that Clotilde supervise the brigade with him to handle the educational aspects.

Afterward, Teyssier and Rose accuse Clotilde of acting far too hastily regarding the hotel’s identity. Teyssier, for his part, announces that he doesn’t care about the hotel’s name as long as the Jourdains accept his partnership. He then tasks Clotilde with co-managing the hotel’s kitchen brigade with Hector. But Chef Armand categorically refuses and prefers to resign from her position within the brigade.

At home, Clotilde is leafing through an old photo album. As she leaves, Loup notices she’s emotional and reminds her he’s there if she needs him. Touched, she thanks him for his thoughtfulness. Once she’s alone, Clotilde looks through the album again. Among the photos is one of her and Hector from 1992…

Coline discovers Caesar’s secret

At the farm, Coline is coaching César on his choux pastry. But the result is still not up to par. Coline thinks he can’t read his handwriting on the recipe cards she’s made and suggests typing them up.

Later, Coline receives a message from César containing several spelling and grammar mistakes. She realizes he is dyslexic. Back home, she brings him recipe cards with color codes and explains that she also sent him the entire recipe verbally via voice message. César is deeply touched. He admits to being dyslexic and avoids talking about it because he is ashamed. He thanks Coline for not giving up on him.

With that, César gets back to work. Thanks to Coline’s method, he finally succeeds with his choux pastry. To thank her, he decides to prepare an aperitif for her.

Ferdinand plagiarizes Billie

While Billie is working in the studio, Ferdinand arrives and asks for her help. He’s stressed about Teyssier’s arrival during Chef Rivero’s class. Billie agrees to let him assist her with the dish she’s developing.

During Chef Rivero’s class, Teyssier tastes the students’ dishes and gives everyone a failing grade, including Ferdinand. Ferdinand decides to try a completely different recipe. Upon seeing the final result, Gaspard realizes he stole Billie’s dish recipe. Ferdinand denies everything.

Later, Anouk calls out to Ferdinand in the park to congratulate him on his new, exceptionally good dish. Having overheard their conversation, Gaspard joins in and drives the point home, declaring that his dish is perfectly suited to a restaurant. Anouk then decides to suggest to Anaïs that they put Ferdinand’s dish on the menu at Double A.
