Coming up on  Here It All Begins  , Andréa ( Marie-Christine Adam ) visits Clotilde ( Elsa Lunghini ). Clotilde has decided to leave the brunch team. The day before, Teyssier offered Hector and Jeanne the chance to try out his team before signing a potential partnership agreement. Clotilde refused, which left Rose and Emmanuel confused.

André and Clotilde want to prevent the partnership between the hotel and the Institute. But Mother Jourdain believes that Chef Armand’s withdrawal from the brunch team raises questions. Their conversation is interrupted by Rose ( Vanessa Demouy ). Andréa hides, and Clotilde dismisses her sister with a flimsy excuse.

Meanwhile, Hector ( Guillaume Cramoisan ) has agreed to cook with the Institute’s brigade, much to his mother’s dismay. Then, Teyssier arrives and reassures Hector: he must be strict with the students. Zoé ( Maïa Bringue ) and Léonard ( Thomas Vilan ) discover the Hôtel Jourdain, but arrive late for their first service, while Ismaël ( Maxime Jallu ) and Bianca ( Alexandra Ferreira ) are already there. Hector gives them a stern talking-to. In the kitchen, Zoé catches Andréa’s son taking a pill.

Meanwhile, Rose confides her concerns about Clotilde to Joachim ( Janis Abrikh ). She finds her irritable and distant. Loup ( Robin Ventura ) intervenes and confesses that he caught her with tears in her eyes the previous day. At the Hôtel Jourdain, Teyssier ( Benjamin Baroche ) suggests that Jeanne visit the Institute. But Andréa’s daughter makes an announcement that will change everything…

Teyssier uncovers Clotilde and the Jourdains’ secret in Here It All Begins

Jeanne ( Aurélie Vaneck ) explains to Teyssier that she already knows about the Institute. The Jourdain family lived there between 1992 and 1994. They were the first caretakers of the château. Emmanuel is shocked; Clotilde hadn’t told him. At the same time, Clotilde calls Andréa. They disagreed on their story when speaking to Teyssier. Andréa is going to make sure no one finds out how they inherited the hotel.

She tells Clotilde to stop her nonsense, or the truth will blow up in their faces. Joachim arrives and confronts his wife. In tears, she confesses,  “I don’t know what I’m going to do… what happened with the Jourdains is too serious.”  Meanwhile, Andréa burns the hotel inheritance papers. But Teyssier arrives and stops Mrs. Jourdain from carrying out her plan.

Teyssier discovers on the deed of gift that it was Auguste Armand who gave the hotel to the Jourdain family. The truth is revealed to Emmanuel, who is completely shocked… Thus, the connection between the Armands and the Jourdains has been exposed. Rose is unaware of this, as she no longer lived with her father and sister at that time. So, for the series’ fifth anniversary, a new mystery surrounds Auguste Armand… What happened?
