In the thirteenth episode of season 36 of The Mysteries of Love , broadcast on Sunday, April 20, 2025 on TMC, Étienne ( David Proux ) wakes up in a strange state. Mégane and Attila are there and explain that they haven’t been able to wake him. Attila suggests calling the fire department and tells Étienne that he’s turning blue.
But Étienne gets annoyed and asks Attila ( Romain Baele ) what he’s doing there. He reminds him that it’s Wednesday, the day he does Mégane’s bikini line. As Attila reaches for his phone, Étienne gets up, throws it on the bed, and warns, “You’re not calling anyone!” Attila provokes him by talking about senile violence, and Mégane asks her boyfriend to calm down.

The Mysteries of Love: Étienne in prison for violent psychotic episode
But Étienne continues to get agitated and shouts, “I’m perfectly calm!” He goes to get dressed to leave. Attila advises Mégane ( Claire Thomas ) to leave. The young woman thinks Étienne reminds her of an old uncle who lost his mind and killed the dog. Étienne retorts, “It’s not the dog I’m going to kill, I’m telling you!” As they leave the room, Attila asks Mégane, who wants a child with Étienne, to call the fire department.
Later at the police station, Gastoune informs Stéphanie ( Marjorie Bourgeois ) and Guéant ( Jean-Luc Voyeux ) that their friend Étienne is in prison. He is being held in custody for a violent psychotic episode. Fanny ( Elsa Esnoult ), who is present for Adrian’s case, breaks the news to Christian over the phone. Then, Stéphanie reads Étienne’s file.
Étienne in prison with Adrian, Christian ready to help his friend in Les mystères de l’amour?
According to the firefighters, he had a psychotic episode and allegedly threatened his partner and a friend of hers. The latter, who is Attila, filed a complaint. Stéphanie tells Fanny that Étienne is in the same cell as Adrian ( Yvan Kereun ). The two men get to know each other and they get along well. Étienne explains that he took a sleeping pill because he was feeling unwell and didn’t wake up. Mégane panicked and called the fire department. Stéphanie and Guéant then arrive.
Later, Stéphanie recounts the events to Christian ( Sébastien Roch ) concerning Étienne, who recently slept with Tania. Christian can’t see him because of the procedure during police custody. Stéphanie then has a plan: she’ll bring Étienne into her office for questioning and then leave so Christian can speak with him. That way, for the time being, Étienne is in prison, and Attila’s complaint could change everything.
