Jim and Jasmine were one of the iconic couples on Here It All Begins. But romantic relationships are far from smooth sailing for the characters on the TF1 soap opera! After going through many crises, the residents of the Auguste Armand Institute finally broke up…

But will the young chefs, played by Loan Becmont and Zoï Sévérin, get back together soon? That’s what TV viewers are hoping for… However, their hopes will be dashed! AlloCiné spoke with the series’ producer, Eglantine Sofianos, and her answer will indeed disappoint more than a few.

Warning: the following lines contain spoilers about what’s to come! If you don’t want to know what’s going to happen, stop reading now.

“A Need for Renewal”

At the 2025 La Rochelle Fiction Festival, Eglantine Sofianos told us: “There are two things you need to know about Jim and Jasmine. First, last year, we only had characters who were in relationships at any given moment. We realized we couldn’t create love stories, so we needed single characters.”

“There was a need for renewal in this regard, necessarily separating characters who would later form beautiful couples or who would experience singleness. Not everyone is in a relationship in real life; we need to represent that too.”

“Then, we found that we were going around in circles a bit when it came to writing Jim and Jasmine. That is to say, from the moment the couple is settled, when everything is going well, it’s difficult to rekindle the flame and rekindle the passion…”

“So, it was interesting for us to reset everything and have them each embark on a new story in the future. So, getting them back together is not planned at the moment,” concludes the producer of Here It All Begins.

So, who will Jim and Jasmine be charmed by in the upcoming episodes of the drama? Here It All Begins airs Monday to Friday from 6:30 p.m. on TF1 and is available for free replay on the TF1+ platform.
