Claire is worried; she hasn’t heard from Louis since the day before. Louis bursts into the kitchen where Claire and Anouk are present.
Louis thinks Anouk has turned on her: he tells his mother and Anouk that they betrayed him and he won’t forgive them. Claire tells her son that she did it because she loves him and wants to protect him.

Tom has a code name for Julia: “vulture.” Tom and Lionel ask Enzo to help organize the master’s degree competition.

Carla spoke to Milan about Louis: he told her about their time in prison, where Louis was struggling to help. Zoé thinks Carla should talk to Louis to form her own opinion.

The master’s degree exam is to present a restaurant concept with an emblematic plan, and the students have one day to do so.

Tom and Lionel are determined to sabotage Julia’s exam.

Teyssier comes to confront Louis to get his decision. Louis has decided to leave; the students don’t have to put up with their arguments.
Louis has a meeting with Joris Kléber: he wants to talk about Bleu Pré and the Simoni affair. Clotilde tells him he’ll sully the institute… Louis tells her no, the institute will get through it, but it will be over for them.

Here It All Begins: September 18, 2025: Maya confesses her secret to Léonard.

Coline picks up the letter from Maya’s room. She runs into her… so she pretends there are field mice in the rooms. Maya sees the letter Coline is holding: she realizes it’s Gaspard. Coline asks her to give her the letter back and act as if nothing happened. In the end, Coline gives the letter to Maya…

Maya confesses her secret with Gaspard to Léonard

Later, Maya confesses everything to Léonard: she slept with Gaspard when she was in an open relationship with Malik. Léonard is a little emotionally shaken. Maya admits that it wasn’t just a thing; there were feelings.

Louis and Carla manage to talk… he makes a big decision.

Carla comes to see Louis, she wants a little private lesson… she wants to improve her grade! While cooking, they share their secrets: Louis says he has no real memories of Auguste… he just let him watch. Louis says Auguste was his role model, he saw him four times a year at most… those were the days he looked forward to.
Louis confesses: “I wanted him to call me ‘son’.” He did it once… the day he died. Carla tells Louis she doesn’t understand why he’s so persistent with the institute… she thinks he’s a bit of a masochist. (Editor’s note: the exchange between Carla and Louis is very powerful… very, very well done).

Tom and Lionel do everything they can to upset Julia: they say the chefs are going to leave. Julia admits that all this doesn’t make her want to take the exam.

Louis tells the Armand sisters that he hasn’t said anything to Kléber. He says he didn’t say anything thanks to Carla, who took a step towards him.

Carla needs to form her own opinion about Louis.

Louis says he’s going to get away from here: “I’m not coming back this time.” He continues: “I’m giving up everything, I’m leaving you my shares. I want nothing more to do with all this.” (Editor’s note: this suggests Louis’s (Fabian Wolfrom) final departure from the series.)
