Adam Testifies in Court
In court, Raphaëlle questions Soizic about why she didn’t call for help after hitting Martial. Soizic explains that it was already too late, and then she panicked. She adds that it was in this state of excitement that she changed the tires on her car the day after the accident. Indeed, she explains to the jury that she was most afraid that her family would find out about her affair.
Lou takes over to question Soizic, implying that she couldn’t bear the fact that Martial didn’t share the same feelings as her. Sébastien then intervenes to ask Soizic if she was in love with Martial. Soizic replies that she wasn’t, that she just wanted to please him.
Samuel was then called to the stand. Facing Raphaëlle, he testified that Soizic never told him she was in love with Martial. He confirmed that she saw him as a distraction from her routine and that she would have stopped everything if the affair had been a source of tension.
Lou questions Samuel in turn and paints an unflattering picture of him: a womanizer, who has sometimes had relationships with prostitutes, and the father of a daughter with his best friend’s wife. The lawyer suggests that Soizic confided in him to relieve herself of her guilt because they both lack morals.
It was then Adam’s turn to be called to the stand. Facing Raphaëlle, he said he considered Martial like a big brother, but stressed that he didn’t trust him, particularly because he flirted with his ex knowing he was still in love with her, and also because he drugged him without his knowledge at a party.

Lou, meanwhile, recalls that Adam thought he had killed Martial with a shot to the chest following an argument about the drug deal. She therefore emphasizes that Martial was the type to push people to their limits. Sébastien then questions Adam about Soizic’s character: is she reasonable and calm or impulsive and passionate? After a silence, the young man declares that Soizic is his mother and that he loves her.
During the break, Adam fears he’s hurt his mother more than he’s helped her. But Maud and Raphaëlle reassure him.
After the break, Lou questions Damien and uses the conclusions he drew from the accident to run a simulation. This shows that it’s impossible for Soizic not to have seen Martial in her rearview mirror before reversing.
As she left the courtroom, Soizic told her lawyers that she had backed down and felt the shock immediately. Raphaëlle and Soraya promised to do everything they could to help her, even if things didn’t seem to be going in her favor at the moment.
At the police station, Karim watches the surveillance videos of Lou’s office neighborhood to find the person who broke in. He recognizes Adam in the footage.
Meanwhile, Raphaëlle notices that Soraya isn’t feeling well. She feels unwell and sits on the ground. A car starts to reverse towards her, but Raphaëlle intervenes in time to prevent an accident…
