The long-awaited moment has finally arrived in Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle. After several weeks of preparation, Gabriel (Joakim Latzko) and Axel (Bertrand Nadler) are about to get married in the episode airing this Tuesday, September 23.

What happens in this episode of Plus belle la vie?

For the occasion, all the inhabitants of the Mistral have dressed up to celebrate this big moment. Even Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré) is present for this big day. He has agreed to be his ex-husband’s best man.

But Barbara (Léa François), who has noticed that her friend is still in love with Gabriel, will do everything she can to force Thomas to end the marriage. Unfortunately for her, the bar owner refuses.

Finally, after many twists and turns, and just as they’re about to say “I do,” Axel tells Gabriel he no longer wants to get married. He’s realized his future husband still has feelings for his ex.

At the end of the episode, while Thomas and Gabriel find themselves in jail for stealing a car, they finally confess their feelings for each other. Gabriel offers to give them a second chance.

Thomas humorously replies, “Okay, but promise me you’ll never ask me to marry you again.” Gabriel bursts out laughing, promises him, and kisses him passionately.

Why does Thomas make Gabriel promise not to propose to him again?

At the La Rochelle Fiction Festival, AlloCiné met with Laurent Kérusoré, who plays Thomas, to ask him to explain this incongruous request from his character.

“It would cost TF1 too much. If Thomas and Riva were to remarry, they wouldn’t have to rent a boat, but a desert island,” he told us, laughing, before adding: “More seriously, we’re in a fictional series, and we have to keep the people who follow us on the edge of their seats. Maybe one day, we’ll surprise them with a wedding.” So, to be continued…
