Stéphanie experienced a major upheaval in season 36 of The Mysteries of Love, airing every Sunday at 8 p.m. on TMC. Indeed, the police captain is pregnant! The father of her baby is Tom (Ifig Brouard), who tragically passed away a few weeks earlier. During this ordeal, Stéphanie can count on Guéant, her colleague and best friend.
In fact, Stéphanie offered to be the godfather of her future child. Guéant (Jean-Luc Voyeux) immediately accepted. Could the arrival of this child lead to a romantic relationship between Stéphanie and Guéant?
An impossible love between Guéant and Stéphanie in The Mysteries of Love

In an interview with Toutelatele, Marjorie Bourgeois, who plays Stéphanie, who is actually pregnant, believes that a romantic relationship with Guéant is impossible for her character. The actress explains: “There have already been little flings between Guéant and Stéphanie, whether in Christmas episodes, where it’s Santa Claus who imagines this relationship, and even before that, when Guéant’s character first appeared on the show, there was a little fling.”
Marjorie Bourgeois adds: “But I don’t think it will ever go any further because they are too close friends. They’re a bit like brothers and sisters. I don’t think it could ever end in a romance.” However, this friendly relationship can sometimes be detrimental to Stéphanie and Guéant’s love story.
“It’s very detrimental…”
Marjorie Bourgeois admits: “It’s very detrimental to love stories sometimes; it can create misunderstandings. But very quickly, the other characters discover that it’s a friendship. They tell each other everything, and Stéphanie coaches him a lot for these love stories. It can be confusing for the other characters who don’t know our friendship story.”
The actress concludes: “But very quickly, things settle down.” Thus, Stéphanie and Guéant are unlikely to have a romantic relationship. Stéphanie will focus on her pregnancy and could then fall under the spell of Bob (Tran-Vu Tran). While Guéant is charmed by Élodie, a young recruit at the police station.
