She explains to Ariane and Jean-Paul that Louis Robbie has been near the bus station—outside the designated area—for 25 minutes. When Zoé’s mother hears the name, she bristles and grabs the file, sharply reprimanding her colleague.

Just as Louis finally gets out of his car to flee with his suitcase, Ariane stops him. Because she provokes him, he confesses his problem to her. Ariane decides to take matters into her own hands. She orders Louis to go home, giving him no alternative but prison.

When Barbara hears a knock at her door, she finds a sheepish Louis with his suitcase. She asks him if he received her messages and realizes that’s not why he’s back. Hurt, Barbara confronts him. Louis confesses he never meant to hurt her and opens up about his problem. While he’s convinced the only way to get out of this mess without his probation officer tracing him back to Barbara and their accomplices is to disappear, she hopes to see another solution.

Ariane goes to Louis’s probation officer’s office and reminds him of his job as a rideshare driver, which regularly puts him near a sensitive area. ” This profile requires a reinforced monitoring protocol ,” Mr. Chabrol replies. Ariane raises an important point: not only was Louis released for exemplary behavior, but it’s forbidden to treat a convicted criminal like a fugitive, at the risk of being accused of administrative harassment. The probation officer, though sweating profusely, remains confident and insinuates that Ariane knows Louis personally, which is why she’s asking him to relax his surveillance. Chabrol mentions her penchant for bad boys and believes she lacks objectivity. When Ariane asks him who he’s talking about, the officer’s upcoming appointment prevents him from answering and ends their conversation.

Back home with Djawad and Barbara, Ariane doesn’t see what they can do to get out of this situation. While the chief believes the only solution is to erase the GPS data from Louis’s bracelet, Ariane tells her the building is far too secure to do so. Desperate, Barbara becomes exasperated, convinced she has no choice but to try to save the man she loves. ” Louis took a risk, he almost lost his parole for us, and you’re not going to lift a finger? ” Barbara lashes out.

Later in their living room, Zoé (who overheard the entire conversation but said nothing) demands an explanation from her mother. Without letting on, Ariane, annoyed, leaves the room. Zoé takes the opportunity to rummage through her belongings and steal her police badge.

At the Pavillon des Fleurs, Chloé accepts another temporary cleaning job at the Mistral doctor’s office, even though Blanche advises her to take it easy given her already busy schedule. During their conversation, the former French teacher notices that Chloé has made significant progress in reading. It’s at this moment that Baptiste arrives. While he tells Blanche that the client he was supposed to meet at 9:00 a.m. asked him to postpone the start of the job until 10:00 a.m., on the phone, the client tells her a completely different story. Annoyed by the misunderstanding and his client’s complaint, Baptiste blurts out, ” I’m not completely stupid, I can still read .” This remark hurts Chloé and sparks an argument between the two. Interrupted by Blanche, Baptiste and Chloé go off to work separately without exchanging words.

In Mistral, when Baptiste comes to drop off flyers advertising his services, he finds Cloé sitting at a table and apologizes. The conversation, however, does little to ease the tension, as each remains entrenched in their own position and wounds, judging the other without knowing them. When she finishes her assignment at the doctor’s office, Chloé learns from Jennyfer that Baptiste, although the son of a doctor, was adopted as a teenager after growing up in foster care. She realizes she misjudged him when, in addition to his past, the medical secretary reveals the extent of his current complicated situation.

Thomas notices a major problem with the Mistral’s accounting. When he talks to Aya about it, he realizes that the bonus promised to Djawad if he managed to increase the Mistral’s revenue by 30% is eating up a good portion of its profits. Since Aya’s brother is a shrewd businessman and has achieved his goal long before Thomas could have imagined, their conversation leads the Mistral’s manager to find his path: business studies to learn how to better manage his bar.
